Senior year is already full of once-in-a-lifetime moments—why not add a senior photo session to the list that’s just as unforgettable? I recently had the absolute joy of photographing a pair of fraternal twins for their senior portraits, and let me tell you, the energy, laughter, and love between them made for really fantastic photos.

Not only did we get beautiful individual portraits that captured each of their unique personalities, but we also got to document their bond—the kind of connection only twins really understand. It was a mix of classic senior vibes and candid, joy-filled moments that felt effortless and fun.

That session reminded me of something so important: you don’t have to do your senior photos alone.

Group Senior Sessions: Why They Work

Whether it’s with your best friend, your sibling, your cousin, or your twin, doing your senior portraits with someone else can add so much fun to the experience. You still get individual photos that are all about you, but you also get bonus shots with the people who’ve made your high school or college years meaningful.

Some reasons to consider a group session:

  • It calms the nerves. Not sure what to do in front of the camera? Having someone you’re comfortable with helps you relax and laugh naturally.
  • Built-in hype crew. Your person will be there cheering you on, fixing your hair, and making you smile for real.
  • Double (or triple!) the memories. These photos will hold so much more meaning when they include the people who’ve been by your side.

If you're in the Austin area and starting to think about senior portraits, consider bringing a friend or sibling along. Whether you’re outgoing or a little camera-shy, group sessions make the whole experience feel like a hangout—and the photos reflect that.
